Apogee Expands Executive Leadership Team

Apogee is excited to announce the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Howard Weinzimmer and Mark Holt to new executive positions.

Weinzimmer, who joins the company in a duel role as Vice President of Business Development and Director of Sales and Marketing, brings more than 30 years of sales, business development, leadership and management experience to the company. Prior to joining Apogee, Howard was the original investor and CEO at Video Furnace, a leading provider of enterprise-class IP video services. Howard was instrumental in securing over 150 installations around the globe, including 50 higher education customers, and establishing the company's IP video system as the leading video distribution technology deployed by government, education and enterprise businesses. Howard has also served on numerous boards and advisory boards of early stage companies and brings a valuable level of executive experience to the Apogee team.

Holt, who is rejoining the company as Chief Operations Officer, played a key role at Apogee during its first five years after being founded in 1998. In 2003, Mark left to gain valuable experience - and a change in climate - at Alaska DigiTel, where he was part of a team that grew subscribers from 7,000 to 40,000 over five years. In 2008, the company was acquired by an Alaskan statewide telephone and cable operator, GCI, and Mark stayed on to serve as a Director overseeing voice and messaging products. With his institutional perspective on Apogee's vision and more than a decade of telecommunications experience, Mark's drive for organizational growth and scalability is well-suited to Apogee's specialized market. Mark has a degree in Accounting from St. Edward's University and has earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant.
