On-Campus College Students Embrace the Apogee Internet Experience
AUSTIN (TX) - (January 17, 2006) The benefits of working year in and year out with college students is starting to reveal itself in the feedback Apogee is getting nationally from its college student customers.
In a recent survey, student customers at Southwestern University, Ithaca College, Birmingham Southern and the University of Texas at Austin overwhelmingly painted a picture of an Internet service that is highly reliable and maintained by an experienced and courteous customer support team.
"We've been providing Internet connectivity and other services to college students for more than five years," said Apogee CEO and Founder Chuck Brady. "In that time, we've refined our technology, customer support, and a business process, which has enabled us to successfully manage solutions for colleges across the country".
Among the most significant findings in the survey are that 100 percent of students at Southwestern, 99 percent of the students at Ithaca and 97 percent of the students at Birmingham Southern say they are able to connect "all or most of the time" to the Internet.
As for customer service, 95 percent of the students at Southwestern said they were "satisfied with the Apogee call center experience." At Birmingham Southern, 96 percent of the students said the Apogee support staff were "polite and professional." At Ithaca, 95 percent said the support staff was "knowledgeable in troubleshooting my issue."
Ed Fuller, Director of Information Technology Services at Ithaca College, credited Apogee with understanding the top priority for IT departments at colleges and universities.
"These results are very impressive, given that students are typically hard to please when it comes to the Internet," said Fuller. "That's one thing I've grown to appreciate about Apogee is that they know how important it is to keep the students satisfied."
