San Francisco State University Partners with Apogee to Implement 10-year Converged Network Service Project

Apogee, the leader in providing innovative technology solutions and services to higher education, today announced that San Francisco State University has enlisted Apogee to construct, deploy and manage its state-of-the-art residential network solution including a converged wireless network, fiber to the desktop, and combination video and IPTV service for all residential housing units on campus. The 10-year, $15 million dollar project includes high-speed wired and wireless services, cable tv, voice services, video to the desktop as well as a 24-hour customer call center open 365 days per year.

San Francisco State, with an enrollment of approximately 30,000, is one of the nation’s leading public urban universities. To meet the needs of its residential housing community, SF State needed a partner that was able to provide not only improved services and support, but the expertise to manage a complex multi-million dollar infrastructure installation project.
