New CALEA reports and deadlines are now available from the FCC.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released the CALEA Monitoring Report (FCC Form 445) on December 12, 2006. This Monitoring Report comes from the CALEA Second Report and Order and requires all facilities-based broadband Internet access service and interconnected VoIP to provide the status of compliance with requirements imposed by CALEA.
The report is due no later than February 12, 2007.
In addition, the FCC approved CALEA mandated filing requirements in which all providers of facilities-based broadband Internet access service and interconnected VoIP must file system security and integrity (SSI) plans with the FCC. The rules governing the filing of these plans are set out in 47 C.F.R. section 1.20005 which is posted below.
The SSI plan is due no later than March 12, 2007.
The deadline for CALEA compliance is May 14, 2007
